Social Responsibility and Support for Local Community 

As a family business we believe strongly in fair trade and investing in people and communities.  Every person involved in the making of our product is employed in fair and safe working conditions.  We make sure that all workers are treated with dignity and respect, which they deserve really. 

Many young women from the local areas of Kathmandu are employed, who are well paid and well looked after.

Our Charity Work

We believe in giving somthing back to the communuty, knowing that we are of some help gives us a great satisfaction and determination to do even more. 

We  work in partnership with the charity ‘the Human Touch’.  The charity works towards helping the  needy local children and local communities in Kathmandu.  So far, we have assisted with the building of two schools, provided computers in local schools, decent furnishing such as new bunk beds and individual lockers for the children. 

The charity also works towards providing funds for operations for children who suffer from burns, and also necessary post operation counseling.  

We also provide practical support to the Burns Unit at the ‘Bir Hospital’ in Kathmandu.  The resources of the hospital is stretched and it is the only places where severe burns patients can receive treatment.

Our Recent Charity Work

Over the last month, we have been concentration on improving the health of children in the three local schools.  500 school children have received Vitamin A tablets and all of them have been given a toothbrush and instructions on how to use it. 

We recently had a group of school children checked for TB.  We are also tryin to develop school recources in the region.  We are currently building a science laboratory at the Bungamati school and we have donated an entire library of books to a small school.
